Founder – Sospeter Chepkuto

Born and raised in Mt. Elgon, Sospeter Chepkuto experienced firsthand the struggles of marginalized and indigenous communities. He witnessed families suffer from poverty, poor access to healthcare, lack of education opportunities, HIV/AIDS stigma, and the effects of conflict in the region.

These challenges shaped his passion for social justice, community empowerment, and service. His professional journey as a Procurement Officer in the Department of Health exposed him further to the daily struggles within the healthcare system, where limited resources and broken supply chains left mothers, children, and vulnerable families without the care they needed.

From this lived experience, he envisioned a better future:

  • No mother should die giving birth due to lack of maternity care.

  • No child should drop out of school for lack of fees or materials.

  • No elderly caregiver should be left alone to raise HIV/AIDS orphans.

  • No indigenous community should be excluded from development.

Through HHF, he champions health, education, peacebuilding, climate initiatives, and human rights advocacy — inspiring others to join hands in restoring hope and transforming lives.
