Restoring Hope. Transforming Lives.

Together, we empower the indigenous, minority, and marginalized communities of Mt. Elgon with access to healthcare, education, human rights, peace, and climate resilience.

About Us

Hopewell Health Foundation (HHF) is a registered charitable organization, not-for-profit organization founded with compassion to serve the vulnerable people of Mt. Elgon, Bungoma County, Kenya.
Born out of a vision by Sospeter Chepkuto, HHF works to restore dignity and transform lives by tackling challenges in healthcare, education, human rights, humanitarian support, peacebuilding, and climate change.

Our Impact

Every day, Hopewell Health Foundation brings hope closer to the people of Mt. Elgon through life-changing programs:

Distribution of Mama Packs to Expectant Mothers

We provide Mama Packs with essentials like towels, baby capes, socks, pampers, and maternity pads. These packs reduce risks during childbirth and restore dignity to mothers.

Mentorship and Scholarships for Underprivileged Children

Through mentorship and scholarships, we help underprivileged children access education and unlock their potential. Learning materials and guidance give them a brighter future.

Community Support and Awareness for Vulnerable Families

We organize awareness sessions and provide support to orphans and elderly caregivers. These programs foster resilience and dignity in vulnerable households.

Peacebuilding Dialogues in Mt. Elgon

HHF brings communities together through dialogues that promote unity, reconciliation, and social cohesion. These conversations replace division with peace.

Tree Planting and Climate Resilience Programs

We lead tree planting and eco-friendly initiatives to fight climate change and protect livelihoods. Our programs build a greener, more resilient Mt. Elgon.

Why We Exist

For years, the indigenous and marginalized communities of Mt. Elgon have faced cycles of poverty, poor access to healthcare, lack of education opportunities, HIV/AIDS stigma, conflict, and the growing effects of climate change.

Hopewell Health Foundation was founded by Sospeter Chepkuto out of compassion, with a vision to restore dignity and provide long-term solutions that bring lasting transformation.

Who We Serve

Hopewell Health Foundation is committed to uplifting the lives of the most vulnerable in Mt. Elgon and beyond. Our programs are designed to serve:

  • Mothers and children – ensuring safe maternal care and access to education.

  • Elderly caregivers – especially those left to raise HIV/AIDS orphans.

  • Youth and students – through mentorship, scholarships, and vocational training.

  • Persons with disabilities – by advocating for inclusivity and equal opportunities.

  • Indigenous and minority groups – protecting their rights and promoting development.

  • Marginalized communities – including women, children, and groups facing exclusion.

By focusing on these groups, HHF works to restore dignity, equality, and opportunity where it is needed most.
