Mission Statement

To promote health, education, peacebuilding, human rights, and environmental sustainability through charitable support, advocacy, and community empowerment while serving vulnerable, indigenous, minority, and marginalized populations.

Vision Statement

A healthy, peaceful, and empowered society where every individual enjoys dignity, equality, and opportunity, while living in harmony with the environment.

Our Background

Hopewell Health Foundation was founded to address the cycles of poverty, conflict, HIV/AIDS, and marginalization experienced by the indigenous people of Mt. Elgon. For years, mothers have died due to lack of maternity care, children have dropped out of school for lack of resources, and elderly women have been left to raise HIV/AIDS orphans alone. Added to this are land disputes, ethnic clashes, and climate change challenges that continue to affect livelihoods.

Founding Story

It was against this backdrop that Sospeter Chepkuto founded HHF out of compassion. He envisioned an organization that not only responds to immediate needs but also empowers communities with long-term solutions — restoring hope and transforming lives.
